Crookwell Veterinary Hospital Open Day 2014

The team at Crookwell Veterinary Hospital were delighted to host the pet owners, farmers, parents, grandparents and the many children who came along to our Open Day on Saturday 22 February. Visitors enjoyed displays throughout the vet hospital, and interacted with many different kinds of animals: alpacas, mini ponies, a massive Clydesdale, puppies and kittens, assorted wildlife from Australian Wildlife Displays (including a black-headed python, ring-tailed possum, baby crocodile and tawny frogmouth) and a superb array of insects showcased by Jacqui Love of Travelbugs.

Thank you to the generous people who gave their time on the day to help make it a success: Michelle from Advance pet foods, Susan Reynolds (Alpaca Products Australia) and Penny Pittard (Currabungla Alpacas), Bob and Jan Pierce (Headlands Clydedales), Kristin Cunningham and her miniature ponies, Courtney Locke with her loveable Chihuahua and Dachshund puppies, and Leanne Cole and her super cuddly litter of Groodles (Ruby Leigh Designer Dogs). Randal Sullings delivered fantastic dog obedience classes that started with a demonstration by George, truffle hunter extraordinaire and his owner Jane Starr (Randal runs the popular CVH puppy pre-school and dog obedience classes). Radio announcer Craig Pritchard and other staff from Radio 2GN gave CVH non-stop support, broadcasting and interviewing on site all day.
